White-winged Black Tern. Durleigh Reservoir, Somerset. 6-9-96

True to my 1996 sketching form, I excelled myself this time by omitting the tail altogether. Note the use of a ruler to point out such important field notes as angular head (who cares?), black mantle (so what?), black crown and ear phones (I particularly like that) etc... My favourite thing about this sketch is that I've somehow managed to draw it wearing a crap wig.
